About
Fixing the Housing Issue for Rose Hill Students

Who we are
CampusKey was started by a current Fordham University Student who saw firsthand that the leasing process especially in the Bronx was difficult and confusing for the thousands of students who decided to live off campus. We set out to simplify this process and make sure that our tenants only receive the absolute highest quality of Off-Campus Housing.
We are not a national platform. We don't list anything we haven't seen, and we don't try to be everywhere at once.
How vetting works
Before an apartment shows up here, someone on our team has done three things in person:
- Met the landlord. We sit down with the owner or managing agent, review the lease they use, and confirm they're licensed and insured to rent in the building.
- Talked to a current tenant. Where possible, we knock on a neighbor's door and ask the questions a parent would: heat in February, repairs, the hallway at 2 a.m.
- Walked the building. Stairwell, basement, locks, water pressure, the actual unit on offer. If a unit isn't ready to be shown, it isn't ready to be listed.
Curated, not crowdsourced
Most rental sites are a feed. We are a list. The number of apartments here will always be small, and that's the point — every unit has been seen, every landlord has been met, and every thread you start has a CampusKey leasing assistant in it from the first message through signing.
If we don't have the right apartment for you this month, we'll tell you. We'd rather you find a good apartment elsewhere than sign a bad one through us.
